The caterpillar narrates his life himself, and even occasionally breaks the 4th wall and addresses the reader himself. A childhood favorite of mine, I Am A Little Caterpillar teaches factual information about the lifecycle of a butterfly in an accessible and intriguing way with beautiful illustrations.
