A curious boy on a beach finds a piece of flotsam—a camera with pictures—washed up on the beach. What the pictures depict is astounding. Flotsam will really stretch readers' imaginations, making them rethink what is possible. Every image is fantastical and unique, and the book invites readers on a journey without saying a single word. It's just plain cool. Flotsam is great for the reader who loves to think, and to wonder. Readers can either simply enjoy the pictures, or come up with their own story to fit them. It will certainly alter their perspective. There is so much going on in this book that it would appeal from readers as young as 2 or 3 years old, up through even 5th grade.
